Hmm... How about something small in VME like a 690?  Ouch! quit hitting

Seriously, it depends on how much learning Solaris is worth to you. The free
Intel version doesn't run real fast, but you can fix that by throwing
(older) hardware at it. I would consider a Weitek-upgraded SS2 acceptable
for older versions of Solaris. An LX is a nice BSD or SunOS box. 8-bit color
can be a drag, but I can't think of too much to run on one of these that
would benefit from 16-bit or 24-bit color. Ultra 1's are now at a price
point that says "ditch me quick! I'm depreciating rapidly!" and are prolly
ythe best choice right now.

My blade is nice, but I prefer my Netra J or Ultra2/200 with Creator
graphics when I need to shake stuff out. My SS20 with dual Ross 150's is
also nice. Anyone got a second dual 150Mhz Hypersparc they'd care to part
with?
