ISTR that 712/715's had dodgy ethernet controllers which would periodically cause kernel panics under NS3.2, 3.3. That - not to mention the marked drop in interest from HP - was a contributing factor in why HP-PA support didn't make it into OS4.X.

Other than that, 712s ran NS3.X beatifully, second only to the NRWs...
