Apocryphal.  Yamamoto knew he was trying a crap shoot -- he'd been in
Mexico and the US in the 20s.  He was known in the whore quarters as Old
Eight Finger and told his young officers who were embarrassed by him
that if they didn't fart, shit, and chase women, they could tell him
what to do.
