Many of my friends in the TV biz say that "if the public knew what broadcast 
quality analog video looked like, they wouldn't want any of this compressed, 
digital sh1t..."  

Granted, there's a lot of cool manipulations that one can do with digital 
video, but his point is well put.  The public just doesn't know any better.
