I've cured most of my pack rat inclinations with constant vigilance and
regular "sweeps" to clear out the debris.  However, with three kids in the
house (actually, four at the moment counting my nephew) more is generated
at an astonishing rate.  We clean house daily to fight the tide.

I'm trying to avoid passing on any pack-rat tendancies, but I think some
of it must be inherited.  At least legos on the floor have a negative
reinforcement effect when they step on them in the middle of the night.
