I use one of these SCSI/IDE converters in my Sparcbook as well. Don't know
if it's specific to my card or whatever, but I had to provide the disk
geometry to the Solaris 'format' command before it would let me format/use
the disk. So- be sure to record that info before you pop the drive/card into
the sled and seal it up, just in case.
