[rescue] SS20 speaker box

I received a speaker box for my SS20 today and i'm not
sure if it's operational or not.  I plugged it up
directly to the back (forgoing the splitter cable).  It
has no light and i can hear no output from it.  I
checked the Audio Options stuff in Sol9, but didn't see
much that looked have anything to do with it.  I set
audio output to all three options, built in speaker,
line out and headphones, still nada.

Is there something else i have to do to enable the use
of this little box or is mine just broken?
