In my very limited expereince MacOS before X was a disaster for C
programmers. Thus, in 1996 I bought a PC running windows 95 which had
enough memory protection to survive most of my stupid C bugs, which the
Mac at the time didn't. I thought long and hard about the mac because
it would have been so cool, but the PC finally won out. What was I
thinking.
