I see that is an ADAT and also SPDIF card. The Indigo2 has 4 chanels of
analog IO (only 16bit though), and some sort of digital IO. The most
authoritative source claims AES/EBU, but I don't rember seeing a jack that
looks like that on an Indigo2.
The Octane (often available for $500ish) has ADAT audio in addition to the
4 analog chanels.
Outside of SGIs, I've never seen good audio for Unix machines, unless you
count stuff that should be coming out for OS X.
