I'm 99.5 percent sure you can move the floppy. Same mechanism- I don't think
there's any difference in the bracketage.
Google around, or search the archives of this list; somewhere I found a
pointer to a sparc bootable .iso of OpenBSD 2.9, which is _really_ nice for
those boxes that never got the floppy!

Heck, it's not even getting as far as that in the install process. It
won't even hit the CD boot sector properly, so I think the disc is bad.
I might need to get my hands on an OpenBSD bootable CD, I s'pose but
that's the one thing they charge money for, the damn ISO. Bah. And
there's no floppy drive in the LX like my Classic has. Since I sank
everything into this machine's hardware, I don't have enough to get the
disc. I can just hope someone here recognizes the problem with the
NetBSD install and can tell me a fix suggestion.
And can I drop the Classic's floppy drive into the LX and install
OpenBSD that way, albeit slower than hell over a modem?

LX is 4m should still work with Sol 8.
The 4c is not supported. (SS1, SS2, IPX, etc.)
