ps2pdf -- from Ghostscript.  It's not the converter's fault.  The
original looks like it has Type 3 fonts, which get slightly stomped-on by
ps2pdf, and horribly-rendered in Acrobat (unless you've a 600x600 dpi
display, in which case, I'm fiendishly jealous).

It's entirely possible, however, that the original is just a series of
scanned Postscript images, and not really "text" at all.  If anyone's
curious, you need but read the source. ;)
