Hayes is owned by Zoom.  Unless, Zoom is just a line of modems..... 
somebody bought the Hayes company/name.  I've even seen Hayes Modems in 
Best Buy long after the original Hayes modems were closed out. 
Although, I'm not sure if any were there last time I was there.  Best 
Buy changes stuff so often.

For awhile Hayes was only available out side the US, I believe.
