Speaking of  booting from a tape drive, is it possible to boot Solaris8 (or 9)
from a tape? If so, how would one make such a tape? Not that I'd actually want to
do this, but it's something I wouldn't mind doing just so I can say I've done it

I had an Amiga3000UX that booted off of a 6150 tape, in fact the tape drive I got
with that machine is currently installed in my SC2000.
