1500W radiated power, or 1500W at the source?

If the former, it would/should require 220vac, I think, esp. if older....

The little dinky one we have now is supposedly 1000W radiated power, and
it seems to be pretty close to that when you work out the time it takes
to boil water.....  I think it draws at least 1200W.
