Heretics!  It's "et-see"!  I groan everytime I hear the other way.
Take this conference I'm at for example - how many possible ways can 
someone NOT pronounce Linux correctly?  Listen to Linus' sound-byte... 
he says "lynn-ucks" so that's how I'm going to say it.  Here are the 
variants I've heard this week: (*groan*)
Lie-nucks
Lie(1 second pause)-nucks
Lean-ucks
Lie-nicks

And then there's me, the only unix-type person in the audience slamming 
my head into my desk.  

(disclaimer:  I don't really care how people pronounce it, I just 
needed something to bitch about this morning because the hotel food is 
making me ill)
