I suggest pair.com.  I don't work for them, but have been using them
for about 3 years.  They have very little downtime, and the downtime
is only because of servers, never network or upstream problems.  They
have a status page where they post exactly what they are doing
when a server goes down (crash or maintanence).  They run their
own datacenter in PA with everything you would expect in a good
datacenter..  The online account admin tool lets you add records to
your domain's zonefile
