The only brand of 'smokeless' blackpowder I've ever used was Pyrodex.  I
know there are others, but Pyrodex comes in nice little pre-measured
50gr cylinders that can be dropped right in the barrel.  Totally
freaking convenient.

However, I've never used Pyrodex in an antique.  Something about that
doesn't sit quite right with me...

H&K has a recoiless infantry weapon based on cartridge-less ammo.  It's
somewhere on the H&K site, I don't recall if it it's in production or
not though.
