The H1 is the name for the original civilian hummer.  I drive within a
few miles of the Hummer plant on my way to work.  There are signs that
say "H1" on them labeling some of the buildings. I also usually see at
least one truckload of H2's a day near there (yes, they put several of
them on a car-carrier trailer to move them).  In fact, there's a new
highway being constructed that basically connects the Hummer plants to
I-80, which when it is complete will be the new way for me to drive in
every morning.
