[rescue] Fw: Quick low-tech question

is there any way in a straight cable adapter to get a non SOG capable
monitor to work? or do i just have to find a SOG monitor for the machine?

Absolutely.  AFAIK *all* SGI systems require SOG capable monitors - with the
possible exception of their Wintel offerings.
