Dave,
	the last time I tried to fight this battle on this same list, I took
the same flak you are taking now.  I would not and have not ever counted
on IDE for production machines.  I am going to resist the long rant over
SCSI vs IDE that I want to give.  Instead just search the rescue
archives.
