I know.
The only time I can find good SCSI cases for a price that I like, they
have maybe one sled or none in them. I could have gotten some nice DEC
BA-somethings with 8 wide SCSI bays, but only one sled.
I have had people offer me good money for my old Sun Aurora chassis
sleds. I have about 4 spares, but I worry about getting rid of them.
I think though, it might be time to do so. I have not needed them in a
year, and I don't believe I'll be getting another Aurora chassis, unless
its a fairly hefty SS20.

Ouch. I know a guy who's friend got an E3500 for about $450 a year ago
but can't find about 5 misc parts he needs to put it in service, without
paying several times that from the Sun vendors.
When I think of buying a system, I'm fairly careful about making sure
I can get all the parts first. Of course, sometimes the deal is too
tempting to pass up. You worry that if you wait, you'll not see it
again.
