I thought it would be assumed that anyone working around high-voltage or
line-voltage equipment would have donned properly-insulated footwear.
Here's what I wear every day:

Now, they're not electrical-hazard rated, because they're not certified
to 600 volts, but they're plenty safe enough for what I work around[0].
I'm far more excited about the fact that they've survived[1]:
  A falling cisco 7000
  A falling IBM F30
  A rolling rackful of PDP-11
A tipped crate holding an SGI Challenge XL
  Several falling 8U HP UPSes
All without a single injury to my feet. That and they're super-
comfortable. I'll stick with Red Wing until someone digs up some mil-
spec steel-toed, puncture-proof, water-proof, ANSI-certified EH-rated
10-inch lace-ups. Then I'll be in footwear heaven.
[0] Mostly telco and 48VDC with the occasional dip into the 200VAC
    world.
[1] Can you tell that I'm accident-prone? :)
