That's what I figured.  Sounds like a trojan /bin/login compiled
on a later version of Solaris.  Taking the box of the net was
a good first step.  Setp two would be looking for any clues as to where 
the intrusion came from.  Step Three: restoring from trusted
media or a fresh install.
