The reason not to run wordperfect natively, and to instead emulate part
of it is because wordperfect isn't so great for editing source code
(especially lisp code) or hooking into a debuger, but the user doesn't
want to relearn the basic keystrokes he has known for the past 20 years.
The same goes for Wordstar, word, and vi.
