   Actually, I'm using ISpy, Webcam32's little brother, but they both
exhibit the problem, and it's mentioned in the documentation. If you're
capturing straight from the source, it works OK, but if you add any kind
of overlay, like a date/time stamp, then the color depth of the video
card comes into it somehow. Brain death somewhere within Video for Windows,
presumably. Big surprise there.
