[rescue] Spacebar replacement for IBM keyboards

Hello,

I have a couple of good old IBM keyboards which are lacking the whole 
spacebar. Is there any known working replacement (aside from plastics 
from another IBM keyboard)?

PS: I revisited the dumpster[tm] with my father (in regard to my hobby
that is easily the coolest thing he has ever done) and grabbed a few 
more IBMs. The show is now over though - the dumpster was picked up 
this morning. I also managed to pull some boards off the rackish thing
I mentioned - looks like serial/network cards (I'll post a seperate 
message on that when I have part# / pictures).
