As I dug into tarriffs further, I found out that the stated amount is
actually discounted to large buyers of such loops.
Thus the salesman says "oh, we have to charge you this set rate" when
in fact they are getting a substantial discount off list price.
It almost seems like some salemen see their job as being paid to lie,
or at least to be there to provide plausible deniability.
Funny thing is, from my days in sales, once the customer discovers you
are telling them the truth, your job gets a lot easier.
