Big honking SIMD machines, I believe the largest had up to 16K PE's, the
problem is that even for the most trivial operation the machine needed
more than a few cycles. Then there was the gruesome communication
overhead. Not the best SIMD architecture, and I beleive it was the last
SIMD machine marketed as such...
