Same problem with the SS5's.

I have two of them which get really hot, and I've not seen a good
solution for it which doesn't involve case modifications like
blow-holes, which prevent stacking.

I created a fan box out of cardboard one day which fit on the left side
near the hard drives, pulling hot air out of the case there.  Worked
well enough in principle, but the fan box was too large to make it
fit there.

Still looking for a nice solution to this problem.

I thought about creating a fan box that would fit over both of them on
the left side, and put vents in the top near the drives.

Another idea was to try and find some way to push air out of the drive
bays.

No joy so far.
