Plenty of sites have used Exabyte drives in mission-critical applications.
The Exabyte is a perfectly good drive, but in this day and age an 8500
is frankly so small that the question is whether it's *worth* using it.
There's a comic-relief factor in shuttling tapes in and out by the
bucketload to back up a single desktop PC, but it doesn't make a lot of
sense.
