I recommend Asterisk simply on the hackery side of things, but I'm not
impartial by any means. One option is the T1 cards, but then you have the
cost of the channel bank and the card, which is not cheap.
If there is a way to hack the ATA186 to do it, that may be a way. I hear
more and more about SIP everyday.
