XMI would be nice. But do you have a XMI cabinet, XMI SCSI, DSSI, 
Ethernet, FDDI, ... adapters? 
OK, _you_ may have this stuff. But not the average VAX geek. 
You can get PCI stuff at every street corner. TurboChannel cards are not 
that easy, but still available. XMI??? No chance.
