Seriously, I can think of no occupation on Earth that legitimately
deserves an annual salary involving eight, or even seven, digits ahead
of the decimal point.

[At the current value of the dollar, of course.  Sufficient inflation
can make it more cost-effective to use banknotes as toilet paper than to
go out and spend them to buy the stuff.]
