I forgot to mention that it's not very flexible in that if you want to
do something tricky (for example allowing SNMP read but not SNMP write)
you can't go below the high level configuration to do the equivalent of
knocking up custom INSPECT code.

And the PDM stuff is very confused ... we've discovered at least 2 bugs
in it so far.
