I think the best ssh client I've used on a cellphone was on my
sidekick (landscape mode, thumb keyboard) but it ONLY works on
Tmobile.  You probably want something along the lines of a
smart phone.  SonyEricsson P800/P900, Treo 600, etc.  Your
other option would be a pda/laptop that piggybacks off the cellphone.
I've done it using my Zaurus (with thumb board) over IR to my
P800 and then GPRS to the cell tower.  There's also an ssh client that
runs on the P800, but ssh with a stylus leaves something to be desired.
I used to use my Newtons to configure routers over the console port
because I could, but it sure wasn't an optimal solution.

Why not a laptop with wifi?
