NEXTSTEP on SPARC does indeed fully support the TCX (S24) AFX 
framebuffer in the SPARCstation 5. It does not, however, support the 
VSIMM on SPARCstation 4.

It also supports multiple head configurations, though you should be 
prepared for some possible unexpected limitations. I personally have 
used it in a dual-head configuration with an S24 and CG6 on an SS5.
