I  had a problem with an ultra 2 I got from ebay, it had 1gb of memory
but would not start up, it either would not get past memory test  at
all or it would not finish booting solaris. I used the memory in an
Ultra 1. Six months later I found it again in a cupbaord and had some
spare time, I put some memory in it and it worked fine.
I tried the other memory (from before)  and it would not boot solaris.
The Ultra 1 is fine with it. I don't know  why it's so fussy.
