Lucky he just dropped it on the bus-bars.  Get a little resistance into
the circuit.

At one of the RAF stations my dad was posted to, a groundcrew mechanic
once accidentally dropped a sparkless phosphor-bronze wrench squarely
across the terminals of a 24v/100Ah aircraft battery.  The direct short
vaporized the wrench, killed the mechanic (something like 90%
third-degree burns, plus seared lungs from a lungful of plasma) and
copper-plated the wall he was standing in front of at the time.
