Pretty sure it is fixable if you can find the right part.

Maybe the leaky capacitor problem?  Can you see any gooey brown stuff
on the top part of the capacitor(s)?  If so, and you feel comfortable
enough to work on it, just replace any bad capacitors with new ones.
