OK, I didn't *THINK* so, but.....

Same here, unfortunately.

That, and once I have everything backed up, I plan on re-initializing
the array without the two disks that appear to be giving me trouble.  I
also figure on vacuuming out the older of the two 711s in case
ventilation slots are clogged.

Yup, I'm doing that as we speak, onto another machine which fortuitously
happens to have a honking great SATA disk with enough space for all the
data from the array.  (In fact ... it just completed.)
