If anyone is interested in these, FYI:
AIX 5.1 and lower will install/work on it. You should be able to find
media (sans license) on eBay for <$50. There's no magic licensing
software to make sure you've got a valid license, but you should make
sure you get one if you're doing anything commercial. Most RS/6000s
that are that new came with some sort of AIX license which *may* match
the software you get.
As they're MCA-based, they *only* run AIX, since IBM hasn't relased any
specs on how to control the chipset, etc. These are fairly decent
machines, as far as MCA RS/6000s go. Not POWER-based (PowerPC 601 or
604 probably), but still fun.
