About 5 or 6 years ago, when I was Senior OS/2 Admin at a major 
financial firm, I made an observation during a conversation with one of 
the Windows guys.

Microsoft wants you to love the product, and doesn't care what you 
think of the company.

IBM wants you to love the company, and doesn't care what you think of 
the products.

I think it still holds true.
