I don't think this is based on the pixel size, but rather the  
interstitial distances and quality of the display.  If you get the  
right contrast ratio, brightness, pixel size, etc... it's a lot  
easier for your eyes to do their genetic job which is basically blend  
it all together.

On the right monitor you only see the screens if you go looking for  
them.  Relax and let your eyes do their job.
