ironic! like both spads and fokkers being powered by the same lerhone
gnome rotary in ww1. licensed swedish production supplied the
germans.
so some of the 'dc3s' in se asia are probably really l2ds...
now back to land rovers -- they were of course britain's answer to the
army jeep, as tough as an old boot and about as pretty. france's
answer was licensed production of the mb, by hotchkiss, until the
early '60s iirc.
