That's a nice machine.  It can still have a bit of trouble loading pigs
like Perl, but its much better than the older Suns, and does well under
a load.

I'm curious about how well they run NetBSD's new SMP code. I've not yet been
able to see NetBSD on SMP, and I was hoping they'd make it more fine-grained
since 1.x.

On the other hand, I suppose Solaris is just fine on a U2.

I have passed up on some nice machines, and some people don't understand
why.

The main problem is power per watt, and some of those wonderful machines
just cost too much to run when you can get faster machines that run on less
wattage.
