Apple may make a lousy customer, and based on the little experience I
have with them, it probably is the case that they squeeze more in terms
of pricing or deliverables than they are actually worth.  

However, that does not excuse IBM from being unable to deliver on their
stated roadmap.

The POWER5 systems that you or Pat F. listed, look very good, however. 
Why the change from zero L3 cache to 36MB L3 cache when going from 1 to
2 way CPUs?
