Those old SSA's were great in the day. True they were kinda slow...   I 
had a SS 1000E with one.

The really neat feature of these, is they included (in hardware) a license 
for Vertias Volume Manager (VXVM).

So they are still useful in a lab to test changes to vxvm (like volume 
re-layouts), before these changes are made in production.

I think I used vxvm 4.? with them (iirc) and they work great!
