Back in the days when PeeCees used COST (Cache On a STick) modules,
these modules, or more precice the connectors, where knowen to fail,
causing all sorts of funky malfunctions. To "kreidler"[1] the machine
usually helps.
[1] The Kreidler is an old german motor cycle. Kreidlers often refused
to work. So you disassembled it to fix it. But there was nothing wrong,
everything looked well. After reassembling the machine it worked again
without any real fixing. Hence the term "to kreidler" for disassemble -
reassemble. Especially old VAXen want to be kreidlered regularly. :-)
