Francois,

What model of GM are you talking about?  The only models with hydraulic 
assisted power brakes that I'm aware of are the heavier light trucks. 
The ABS, however, doesn't have anything to do with the booster, whether 
hydraulic, or otherwise, as far as I can tell.
