[rescue] Solaris ufsboot question

I have a Sun Fire v100 that was shut down un-cleanly.

The data is still on the drives, but there seems to be a problem with
ufsboot.

The symptom is that the machine starts to boot the kernel, showing the
spinning "/" then stops, showing a "*" .

I am not sure which version of Solaris 10 I had installed.  

Can I boot a CDROM of any release and re-install the bootblocks and
ufsboot?
